Amenities
The restored General Store welcomes you at Columbine’s entry. Historic cabins with furnished kitchens are available for daily rental. Most cabins feature wood stoves, running water, and electricity. A modern lodge and shower house features a lounge and game area as well as bathrooms and showers for the cabins without those amenities. A modern commercial kitchen building offers cooking, serving, and dining facilities for special events. You can rent the entire town for your wedding or other special event!
Hike or ski from the door of your cabin! Columbine maintains a one-mile snowshoe and cross-country loop on the property for the use of our guests. Explore the adjacent Routt National Forest for a true back country adventure. After a day on the trail, our wood-fired sauna will warm you to the core.
Lodge
The upper level of the lodge includes a spacious lounge area, billiards, Ping-Pong, Foosball, a library of books, and a panoramic view of Hahn’s Peak. In the lower level of the lodge are modern, clean bathrooms and showers for men and women.
Dining Facilities (advanced reservations only)
Located within the commercial kitchen building is a small dining facility, which can seat up to 15 people.
An outdoor grilling and eating area is adjacent to commercial kitchen with space to seat 100 people. A larger tent pad behind the commercial kitchen can seat up to 150 people. We recommend Colorado Event Rentals for all of your outdoor event needs.
General Store
Built in the late 1800’s to serve gold miners, our General Store contains the original 1905 Columbine Post Office, mini-museum, and the cabin rental office. In the summer, stop in for a cool drink, hand scooped ice cream, or snack after a day of hiking, biking, or fishing or linger and read a book. Our store has a variety of cold & warm drinks, snacks, and food items. Forget something, we stock the essentials as well as unique t-shirts and gifts.
Cross-Country and Snowshoe Loop
A one-mile loop, situated on Columbine property, is ranked at an easy to moderate difficulty level. The trail is well marked and packed by our Thiokol snow cat during the winter. There is no motorized use on this trail.
Sauna
The wood-fired steam sauna is a private, first come first served facility available only to Columbine guests. It is fully stocked with firewood, kindling, newspaper and matches.
